Yaffa Assouline,
Yaffa Assouline worked with the publishing company Hachette/Filipacchi for 13 years, developing and writing for magazines such as Playboy, Paris Match and French Elle. In 1986, she created a company with her brothers called Assouline. They initially launched new concepts in journalism and publishing such as the first in-flight consumer magazine Air France Madame and then went on to create magazines for luxury brands and companies including Chanel, the Dorchester Group, the Ritz and Veuve Clicquot…advertising campaigns such as the launch of Chanel J12… With each project, they experimented with different forms of media to produce something new.
It was natural that after magazines and books, Yaffa Assouline would be drawn to another medium — the Internet. It is there now that her experience in luxury, journalism and publishing has found a unique and synthesized outlet. “It’s a mix of everything I know and love in a medium that I find fascinating. It allows me to channel all of my passions while reaching out to the largest possible audience,” says Yaffa Assouline.
